With the announcement of a new web hosting hardware a few days ago, it means a lot of really great things for the community. We have already transitioned to our new iRC server (which can be accessed here: irc.twinstar.cz, port: +6697, SSL On), and now we are ready to transition to this hardware. In order to do this we will need a scheduled downtime period of between 8-12 hours (if all goes well). Also, there will be a database server upgrade which will coincide with this so that we can minimize the overall downtime. This downtime will start at 9am server time on Saturday. During this period all services (website, server, registration etc..) will be unavailable.

This is the first part of a longly awaited hardware upgrade. One of the network parts will be installed as well, which will allow us to raise the player limits to higher numbers as needed. Our host is still awaiting the arrival of their network hardware but as many players have noticed and commented, we have done a lot of work of optimizing the current set up in the mean time.
The second part should be installed in about two weeks, and we’re expecting that maintenance for the second part will be much quicker.
